NUANCE: Nanoscale Characterization Experimental Center

NUANCE and Gatan AMETEK host Virtual Workshop

The NUANCE Center and Gatan AMETEK presented a virtual workshop on June 7th on Multi-Dimensional Electron Microscopy, specifically highlighting the capabilities of the JEOL ARM 300F. The morning began with amazing talks from researchers at several national labs and Gatan experts. Over 100 attendees tuned in for presentations from Dr. Lijun Wu of Brookhaven National Lab, Dr. Jianguo Wen of Argonne National Lab, and Dr. Liam Spillane of Gatan. Rounding out the talks was Dr. Stephanie Ribet of Berkley National Lab, who is the co-chair of the annual Women in Microscopy conference hosted by the Microscopy Society of America and the NUANCE Center.

The afternoon featured remote tutorials on the JEOL ARM 300F, including acquiring 4D STEM, Multimodal EELS Spectrum images, and data analysis with the new DigitalMicrograph software.

If you’re interested in the capabilities of the JEOL ARM 300F, please reach out to our EPIC TEM Manager Xiaobing Hu (xbhu@northwestern.edu) or to our center email (nuance@northwestern.edu).
