NUFAB hosts TCAD Software Workshop

On Thursday, March 11, NUANCE's NUFAB facility hosted a workshop and demonstration of the Silvaco TCAD software. This software offers an in-depth understanding of device fabrication and characteristics; combining  industry and academic physics knowledge, advanced numerical simulation methods, user interfaces, and DoE automation to allow users to get the answers they need.

In this workshop, attendees were introduced to the suite of Silvaco TCAD software through a series of skilled demonstrations by Dr. Ying Jia, NUFAB Research Engineer, as well as a talk by user Simone Bianconi, PhD candidate with BISOL Group at Northwestern's McCormick School of Engineering.

The NUFAB team is interested in extending the licensure of this software for users who would like to take advantage if it's many capabilities, so feel to reach out and let them know!
