NUANCE: Nanoscale Characterization Experimental Center

NSF Renew's NUANCE & SHyNE Facility Grant

On Monday, August 24, 2020, the National Science Foundation announced this year's National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI) renewal awards, of which NUANCE and SHyNE has been selected! This means another 5 years invested in Nanotechnology! As stated on NNCI's website:

"The NNCI site awards are the culmination of a competition conducted by NSF, under Program Solicitation NSF 15-519, which was generated as a result of input from the science and engineering community. Over 50 proposals from potential NNCI sites were submitted, resulting in 16 awards. The total level of funding for NNCI sites and the NNCI Coordinating Office is approximately $16 million annually. The initial cooperative agreements are for a period of 5 years with possible renewal for 5 years."

Thanks to all the hard work and research that has taken place over the last 5 years, we are thrilled to be included on the National Scale for the next 5 year! Well done all!
