NUANCE Welcomes New Administrative Staff!

NUANCE has welcomed two new members to its administrative team.

Katy Dean

Katy Dean became NUANCE’s Outreach Coordinator in February. Katy comes to NUANCE with a background in fine art, web development, design and 3D visualization. After receiving her M.S. in Biomedical Visualization at UIC, Katy worked at The Field Museum developing and designing research, exhibit and educational websites as part of the Field marketing team, as well as participating in membership and donor campaigns. Katy enjoys the vibrant educational and research environment of Northwestern and is excited to be on the forefront of new research and discovery with the NUANCE team.

As the Outreach Coordinator, Katy serves as the liaison between NUANCE and various stakeholders including industry partners, academic institutions, and community groups, working to promote interest and awareness of NUANCE’s world-class facilities, unique technical expertise, and opportunities to engage with the center.

Elise Beck
 also joined the NUANCE admin team in February as Professor Dravid’s program assistant.

Elise graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Art in History and French. She spent her time working for various not for profit organizations with a focus on intercultural exchange. In her new role as Professor Dravid’s program assistant, her main duties involve administrative work and helping to manage daily operations.
