Jacob R. Jokisaari, Ph.D. discusses Functional Imaging Using Transmission Electron Microscopy
On Monday, October 1, 2018 Jacob R. Jokisaari, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Chicago gave a talk "A Window on Nanoscale Physics, Functional Imaging Using Transmission Electron Microscopy" in the MSE Conference Room, Cook Hall 2058.
Dr. Jacob R. Jokisaari has an extensive background is materials synthesis and characterization starting undergraduate studies as a metallurgist at the University of Idaho before transitioning into materials science and engineering for a Master’s at Clemson University in South Carolina. He is currently practicing Physics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with the intent to stretch the boundaries of what is possible in microscopy with in situ/operando measurements, 4D multispectral analysis, and open data science tools.
