Ben Myers Receives NNCI Award

Ben Myers, Director of Operations for the SHyNE Resource, recently received the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI) Outstanding NNCI Staff Members Award in Education and Outreach.

The NNCI is a national network that coordinates resources between major institutions of research in nanotechnology and smaller institutions in academia and the commercial sector who otherwise might lack the means to access such equipment or expertise. The Outstanding NNCI Staff Members Award in Education and Outreach celebrates and acknowledges NNCI site staff who provide excellent service and support to all network users. Winners of the award receive a plaque, an acknowledgement at the NNCI Annual Conference and in NNCI's yearly reporting to NSF, a mention on the NNCI website, and reimbursement for travel costs to the September NNCI conference.

Myers was delighted to receive the award.

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of the first recipients of an NNCI staff award,” he said. “This award reflects the tireless efforts of the entire SHyNE team.”

The NNCI receives support from the National Science Foundation.
