BP Visits NUANCE Center

EVANSTON, IL — On November 6th, a group from BP’s Naperville Branch visited Northwestern’s NUANCE Facilities. The tour groups had the opportunity to walk through facilities, instrumentation, and talk to technical staff about the research that takes place at the NUANCE Center.

The tour included a brief visit to the Tech J-Wing to view NUANCE’s new JEOL Aberration-Corrected Scanning/Transmission Electron Microscope (AC-S/TEM) led by Dr.  Kai He, a walk-though of the IMSERC led by Dr. Andy Ott, the J.B. Cohen XRD Facility led by Jerry Carsello, NUCAPT led by Dr. Dieter Isheim, NUANCE’s EPIC facility led by Karl Hagglund, NUANCE’s KECK-II facility led by Ben Meyers and Xinqi Chen, and NUANCE’s BioCryo & SPID facilities led by Eric Roth, and Dr. Gajendra Shekhawat.

Following the tour, participants had the opportunity to further discuss the NUANCE facilities, instrumentation, access, and training with Ben Meyers, Director of Operations for SHyNE facilities.
