NUANCE Warmly Welcomes Dr. Neena Gilda
The NUANCE Center warmly welcomes Dr. Neena Gilda, who is joining SPID as a postdoctoral fellow starting March 2017.
Neena recently obtained her PhD in Microelectronics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, where she developed an expertise in Nano-Electro-Mechanical (NEM) device fabrication and characterization, focusing on ultra-low standby power reduction and on sensor applications. She has also done extensive work in the design and characterization of CMOS analog circuits.
Starting in 2010, Neena worked on a project using nanotechnology to detect explosive vapors in the atmosphere, which won her several rewards and patents and resulted in an extensive body of published papers and conference proceedings. While a doctoral candidate at IIT Bombay, she mentored graduate students as well as undergraduates and assisted many students in performing experiments. In addition, she evaluated undergraduate examinations at IIT Bombay in courses such as Bio-Sensors, Bio-MEMS, and a Microelectronics Lab.
Neena also has an artistic side, and loves to paint and doodle in her spare time.
Welcome to NUANCE, Dr. Neena Gilda!
