Students from Salem Christian School visit the NUANCE Center

Lauren Sturdy (graduate student with the Northwestern Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering) recently hosted students from Salem Christian School in Chicago, who were here on a science field trip. The purpose was to introduce them to a college environment and show them how exciting science can be!
The kids, who ranged from 5th - 8th grade, really enjoyed looking at demos that Lauren had prepared on the Hitachi S3400 SEM, and had a lot of great questions!
