The VT1200 S is a fully automatic microtome with a vibrating blade
The specimen size can be up to 30 x 40 mm and the section thickness can be set in 1 µm increments to maximally 1000 µm (=1mm)
The buffer chamber can be cooled with the attached chiller.
Ideal for making thin slices of wet, soft samples (e.g. tissues and hydrogels) before further processing (e.g. histochemistry, immunolabeling, high-pressure freezing, or plunge freezing)
