Personal Statement

Dr. Wen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Northwestern University Atomic and Nanoscale Characterization Experimental Center (NUANCE). She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Tsukuba in 2022. After her graduation, she gained industrial experience as TEM characterization engineer at TDK Corporation in Japan. In 2024, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ames National Laboratory before joining NUANCE.

Research Objectives and Approach

  • Research Interests

    • Low dose TEM characterization for beam sensitive materials.
    • Focused Ion Beam (FIB) sample preparation and TEM characterization under cryogenic environment.
    • 3D tomography by FIB and TEM
