NUANCE Fest 2026 - Showcasing Facilities & Bringing the Community Together
NUANCE Fest 2026 brought over 130 members of the Northwestern community together for an afternoon of exploring NUANCE’s facilities, getting a closer look at its instruments, and connecting with our amazing technical staff.
Attendees joined guided tours to learn more about the Center’s facilities and the advanced instrumentation available to students and researchers. Puzzles, food, raffle prizes, and time to connect with fellow attendees added to the fun.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of the 2026 Art of Science image contest winners! The contest celebrates the striking images created using NUANCE instruments, highlighting the beauty and creativity that can emerge from scientific exploration. Luis Ayala took first place in this year’s contest with his image, "Into the µnknown".
NUANCE Fest is a chance for the Northwestern student community to discover what the Center has to offer, explore its facilities, and learn more about the instruments and expertise available to support their work.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for NUANCE Fest 2026 - we loved welcoming you and celebrating our NUANCE community. See you next year!
