NUANCE Welcomes Educators from Busan, South Korea

On July 29, the NUANCE Center welcomed 16 educators from Busan, South Korea, for a tour of the facility as part of a weeklong visit organized by Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development (CTD).

The educators are spending the week learning about CTD's approach to talent development and exploring how Northwestern supports advanced STEM learning and research. Interested in seeing some of the University's most innovative research spaces, the group visited NUANCE to learn more about the shared facilities that help drive scientific discovery.

Led by Jaeyoung Hong, a postdoctoral research associate in NUANCE's Keck-II Facility, the tour gave participants an inside look at NUANCE's advanced microscopy, characterization, and nanofabrication capabilities. Along the way, they learned how researchers from across academia, industry, and government use shared instrumentation to tackle a wide range of scientific challenges.

We were excited to welcome the group to NUANCE and share a glimpse of the cutting-edge research happening at Northwestern. Visits like these help strengthen connections with educators around the world and inspire future opportunities for STEM learning and collaboration.
