NUANCE Hosts CBE PhD Student Tour During Visit Weekend

NUANCE hosted 45 prospective first-year PhD students from Northwestern University’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering during the department’s visit weekend on Friday, February 6, 2026.

As part of the visit, students participated in a brief tour of the NUANCE facility, where they were introduced to the shared research resources available across Northwestern. To better align with student research interests, the tour was divided into two groups, with one group focusing on biologically related capabilities and the other highlighting materials-focused instrumentation and research.

The tour provided prospective students with an overview of how NUANCE’s interdisciplinary facilities support graduate research and collaboration across engineering, science, and medicine at Northwestern.
