NUANCE Fest 2016!

NUANCE Fest, NUANCE’s annual open house, was once again a great success!

The event took place on October 19 and offered new graduate students the opportunity to tour our EPIC, KECK-II, NUFAB, and SPID facilities, as well as the brand new J-Wing in the Technological Institute, which will house NUANCE’s state-of-the-art SEMs and TEMs.

The rest of the afternoon was filled by a lively reception where students, staff, and faculty mingled and discussed research possibilities over abundant slices of pizza.

After the NUANCE Center’s Director, Professor Vinayak Dravid, gave his welcome speech, the winners of this year’s raffle were announced:

First place ($100 gift card) Hao Zhang – Graduate Student – Physics
Second place ($75 gift card) Songting Cai – Graduate Student – Materials Science and Engineering
Third place ($50 gift card) Christian Contreras – Graduate Student - Chemistry
